Thank goodness there's this thing called "The Internet." All you have to do is Google "No. 1 Detective Agency books in order" and the mystery is solved.
I mean, when you're not too busy complaining about other people's efforts, that is. Can't help but notice neither of you have uploaded anything.

It's unfortunate they are not in order. I've read the books but for anyone who hasn't I think being out of order will be very confusing. Audio quality is good though

I really enjoy these stories but after the first few chapters they are not in order. They not only leap up and down the time line of the characters but some episodes are missed out completely. Possibly because they are a mix of being uploaded from a cd and the BBC (given away by the snippets of information about what else is on the radio station). I persevered trying to listen to them in order but it was not as enjoyable as it could have been. Maybe they could be re-ordered so the stories flow chronologically.

There is tremendous potency in tales told in simple words. Ask
Aesop.
At first hearing, there is almost a comedic effect. Then one begins to understand how searing are the embodied emotions.
The plots are intricate, often interwoven. Any devotee of detective fiction would find the plots satisfying, sometimes surprising.
The BBC did well here in ensuring that the accents are authentic to Botswana, often employing actors who have knowledge of the setting. And for the historian it might well provide a glimpse of a situation where attitudes are are under rapid review.
Always entertaining, sometimes heartbreaking, often an uplifting vision of the human condition.
Great stories, well told, superbly acted. Thank you, BBC.

Great to be able to have these wonderful stories as mp3 recordings.
But! It's a pity that the recording levels were set way too high, so there is a lot of Overload Distortion on every track I've looked at so far. (you can use free Audacity to view the actual audio profile. I've used it for many years to process audio tracks, and it has a good graphic display for showing recording levels.)

Subject: A Great Companion to the Novels
The BBC dramatizations of the beloved "No. 1 Ladies Detective" series is well-served by these audio renditions of the novels in the series. The performances and African accents make the novels even funnier than the words on a printed page are to this American's ears. I'd recommend listening to anyone who wants lighthearted fun and escape for an hour or so.
